My advice is to do a lot more work with colour restrictions. NES, Gameboy, C64 etc.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I referenced several pixel arts AND real mushrooms- it fit fine.

I'm a sucker for mockups. Cute

Overall, good work. I especially like the Proto Man. I don't know what official sources say, but I always picture Proto taller than Mega.
