Mit's Sprites and Such

I remember your work from a different forum. I like these sprites. Not much C+C I can offer to be honest. My skills limit my eye for flaws. To me the sprite seem fine. The first Mario 2 sheet though, The outline could be smoother you know? That's about all I can say.

usually I tend to clump pixel art and Sonic into the same category with my stuff since I'm not good at spriting either, but to be honest I think this came out great.

I just noticed these. The head doesn't look like sonic at all. I can assume that you're going for 'classic' Sonic's look, but his spike looks like they were singed off in a fire.

while I could make the quills longer, I feel that it fits the way I draw Sonic and such, which has short quills, and TBH looks like a mix between Generations Classic and OVA Classic.

now that I've finished it, I can't help but thank you because honestly it looks a lot better. I only changed regular Sonic, since Super Sonic has pointy, straight-up quills

Sonic's OVA design is more along the lines of Generations, the picture you posted of the official Classic design doesn't really look like Gen. Classic Sonic or OVA Sonic.

anyway, I really don't want to get into an internet argument about Sonic character designs, because those usually don't end well.

I wasn't getting offended or anything by it either, I just didn't really want the topic to start spiraling into insanity involving Sonic's design :I

I feel that Sonic designs look best when they're stylized, but there is a very, VERY fine line. I'll probably still work on it and try to fix what I can though. who knows, I might end up making it a custom design or something dumb like that.

fixed the leaning (mentioned on another forum) and added Metal Sonic.

Sonic's right arm looks like it's sticking out from his neck. I would also change the background color to something more dull, it's hard to see the dark tan color with the current background.
