Hahaha. What's up RnR
never mind, just a glare on my computer... it just sort of looked as if the shine on the eyes blended with the rest of the mushroom at that time, but I guess I was wrong... sorry

I added a Boota sprite. Boota is a pig mole from Gurren Lagann. He is usually hanging out in the cleavage of Yoko (the girl in my avatar)

Boota is lacking contrast a little, making his sunglasses kind of hard to see. I'd try making his fur a little lighter, but other than that I think it's good.
Especially since, you know, Gurren Lagann sprites are pretty much instant win in my book.

I had a feeling his fur was too dark and he lacked contrast. I'll try to fix this.

Not that it's a problem, but it would be nice to post edits and new sprites in new posts so we don't have to go back to the 1st page just to see them. Just a suggestion.

Lmao, because I thought putting them in the first page would be easier for everyone hahaha. I'll put them in new post and edit the original then.

The things wrong that I see is the balloon's outline. I'll fix that tomorrow when I get out of class. I hate college so much... The mushroom's outline will be fixed as well.

The mushrooms look messy to me. I would remove one or two colors and play with the shading a little bit.

you use way too much selout for the sprites. Try a simpler outlining in order to make it less messy.
01-31-2013, 02:29 PM
Yeah, there's way too much sel-out.
On the P-balloon in particular, the P is basicaly unreadable because the selout makes the sprite so busy that everything just looks garbled. Also the eyes on the fire flower are off-center to the right by about a pixel, but that may have been intentional. (01-31-2013, 11:20 AM)ShadeDBZ Wrote: The mushrooms look messy to me. Is it possible to increase the contrast between the P and the yellow of the balloon?
They sorta blend together and the P is hard to see.

There should be a way to do it. It's getting difficult. I was going to outline the P like it was in SMW for the GBA. I'll have to make it wider though.
EDIT/Update:
C+C I guess lol. There isn't much to comment on. I am still cleaning up the pixels. Newly added! Jan 31st
Alright guys. Before I show you these. I must ask for no C+C on these two drawings. I don't care about them as a drawing at all really. It's not that I don't like C+C, it's just these were pretty much rushed down to get used as a base. It's like giving critique to a blank canvas. These will be turned into sprites, Capcom vs SNK style. So I'll need to C+C to begin as soon as move towards the actual spriting part. Image One: The things wrong with this is: -That his shirt looks stiff. As soon as I work on this the shirt will look much softer and I have all the great artists on here to guide me through the way. - He has no hands, this is because I suck at drawing hands, so I am going to either take pre-drawn hands or work on the hands when I'm at the line art portion (which is most-likely to happen). - One leg is shorter than the other, again I will fix this when I'm on the line art portion.
