Which Retro Games Need Remakes?

Inafune created Zero to be Mega Man X, but Capcom didn't like how different he was than classic Mega Man. If you think Zero outshone X then Inafune got what he wanted after all, in a way.

Also, totally down for Startropics, Cocoron remakes. I wish they had released ActRaiser II on Wiiware - they only released the first game Sad

A game I think deserves to be remade... Well, we got an awesome updated Final Fantasy Tactics so they should do the same with its sequel, Vagrant Story.

Here is some games that i think either need a remake, reboot,or sequels

Earthworm Jim
Jet Force Gemini
Naso No Mursamejou
Banjo-Kazooie on a Nintendo console (nuts and bolts is not banjo-threeie) (Also Rumors are that nintendo is planning to buy the copy rights of banjo-kazooie back from microsoft Here is the article http://www.cubed3.com/news/17030/1/rumou...zooie.html)
A actual Ice Climber Adenture game, that is a side scroller could work very well in my opinion
A actual Mr.Game and Watch game
What Rips am i doing next not sure?

Oddly enough I like Mother 1 way better than the overrated Mother 3... at least storywise.

Adding a ridiculous amount of sadness doesn't make a story better.

Senjen, Earthworm Jim got remade man...

I love Mother 3. Never played one much because, well - it really sucks. Old RPGs just do not age well.

Treasure of the Rudras
Any of the other remaining SaGa games should be remade too:

(SaGa 1 got a remake on Wonderswan Color, SaGa 2 and 3 were remade for DS, Romancing SaGa was remade for the PS2, Romancing SaGa 2 was re-released and is on Japanese Virtual Console with new bosses and quests)

Live A Live is another game that should be remade.

Dynamite Headdy should also be up for consideration.

Majuu Ou (King of Demons), plays somewhat like Castlevania and has a similar feeling to it. When you kill a boss you can change into one of 3 creatures, if you choose the correct path you can get the Hero's strongest form)

Majin Tensei series. They can even keep the gameplay style of Devil Survivor for all I care, as long as they keep the original story intact. MTII however stands out most because it involves time and dimensional travel plus a Protagonist who actually talks compared to all the other Megaten protagonists.

@Geomar
That's why I said storywise. The story in Mother 3 is eh... Not my cup of tea. It's self defeating in it's own logic and morals. I could write a whole topic on how stupid the story can get. But that should be for another time.

I'm going to throw Demon's Crest onto the list.
Seriously, make another one or something...

Custom robo. gamecube version was pretty neat, DS version was a massive letdown. especially since AI difficulty was not determined by strategy, but instead was determined by altered rate of fire and damage.

Oh god, thanks for reminding me. But yeah, the WiFi battles more than made up for how dumb the story AI was. Oh, and DIORAMAS. There NEEDS to be a new Custom Robo. Maybe on the Wii U? I'm sure they could come up with some cool stuff for that, maybe have the portable thing on the gamepad work as like your garage, so you could test out stuff and customize without opponents seeing for local multiplayer? And it would have online because online Custom Robo is da bes?

I loooved Gotcha Force, even despite the fact it only had like.. 10 maps. The amount of playable monsters just made it so damn cool to me.

Yes please. The first one has great concepts, but it's unplayable. Not because it's old, but because it's a freaking grind fest. I kinda, however, kinda like the concept that Itoi had of just dropping you into the world and making "every new discovery [a new town, new place, etc] a huge deal" (he said that), even if it's not my cup of tea. But at least it's not like in the first Zelda with impossible things to figure out (I think...I only played the first Mother until I could get Lloyd. I was playing without the EXP and money patch, but maybe I should just for the sake of completing it...).

Actually, while on topic, the first Zelda could be remade, it didn't stand the test of time.
