Interesting stuff here you have here, Sketchasaurus. I like the animation of the mayor/business man slamming his desk.
Anyway, I've never seen these characters before. Are they your creations by any chance?

The newscaster-looking guy has a weird jaw jiggle thing going on and it's kind of distracting.

Her head looks pretty static compared to the rest of the animation, though. If you gave her a blink I think it would have a lot more life.
Ahaha, thanks; I'm glad ya like 'er.
also, I added a blink animation to the cycle (and added more loops to make the blink feel more natural than if she were to blink every nth frame in the 8 frame cycle.

Also, yes; these characters are all my own creations and are part of a large personal project of mine that I've been working on for the past 3 years or so.
Trollerskates Wrote:The newscaster-looking guy has a weird jaw jiggle thing going on and it's kind of distracting. Yeah, the jaw jiggle was intentional, and I thought it was amusing at the time, but during the time where that sprite sequence is used, he'll likely be saying something.
here are the phoneme sprites that I have for the chap so far.

Mm-hmmm... Fascinating! What would this personal project be by any chance?

The Personal Project that I'm working on is a Cartoon/(possible)Game series called G33X (pronounced 'Geeks') that is centered around a group of friends that live in a video game world. (I guess I might as well link to the youtube: Link) The art style is based mainly on old cartoons (and games such as the Mario series, Banjo-Kazooie, and the Classic Mega man games) I won't go too deep into explaining it since I could go on and on about it, but yeah. I'm glad that this has sparked your interest!
Here's some NES-esque (not 100% NES compatible unless programming tricks are implemented) sprites of one of the Main heroes.

I apologize for the double post, but I've got some new sprites:
Just a few enemies from the series.

I like really smooth animation too. The reporter reminds me of a mix of Seth Macfarlene and some other artist, cant think of the name though.

I have to commend you on patience alone; there's no way I could make sprites like these with my attention span.
Also, no need to appologize for a double post when it's productive or informative. You're not just bum ping for attention, so that's good.

@virtuaboy: Thank ya, I'm glad you like 'em; though I can't say that I'm much of a fan of Macfarlene, ahaha.
@Midi: thanks, man; once I get into the swing of making sprites, it becomes relaxing and fun to a point where I want to keep working on stuff.
I'm sure that I've posted this before in one of my old topics, but here: have a Hoatzin-Buzzard-Pokémon-like-Non-Pokémon-thing:
And some items
and one of the members of the show's Rouge's Gallery doing a thing:

For some reason, the bird looks a lot like the Evil Eagle from Link's Awakening.
I still can't get over how well you animated the sheer bulk of your sprites.

I can't say that I know that one as I'm not much of a Zelda fan
aha, thanks man.
here's a little animation of the Pine tree creature:
I only made two frames (arms in and arms out) then I used flash to simulate the game engine stretch effect.
another older animation, a fella called Spike, doing a lil dance:
I need to change the blue to solve some readability issues, but I think it's a fun little animation. And while I'm on the subject of posting more old sprites, have another one:

I'm here with another animation:
I scratched this up last night after cutting down the palette from 22 colors to 13.
EDIT:
Here's an update to the enemies sheet. (or at least the sea creatures group)

Oh man, I'm sorry for the triple post (it goes against everything I've ever learned from years of forums)
I've got more sprites that I've been working on:
Here are some semi-older sprites done as an attempt of Pokémon G/S style; as you can see, there are some unfinished sprites and multiple attempts at spriting one of my characters:
And here are some Bosses in the series for the intro:

Thanks Gors.
I've got another sprite in progress now (because I can't seem to stay on track on the same sprite for very long). this one follows the fantasy theme of the knight one.
it's a goblin version of the blue fella who's popped up here a few times.
I've been leaving these guys armless because I want to make different arms holding different weapons in different ways.
