Oh, that'd be pretty cool. But I visited the Stencyl forums once and I saw this giganto thread with shit-aweful JPEG'd sprites, and everyone was giving it head.

I just fear your work will be beside shitty games, graphically.

On one hand, it'll make your work stand out and people will be all the more amazed.

On the other, people with any aesthetic taste might avoid all Stencyl games.

I should visit again and check though.

Yeah, that forum is filled with programmers not spriters, or anything else that would make up a game for that matter.
Being able to actually sprite isn't a bad thing at that forum though, its how I became a part of Stencyl Studios actually. I can't say there are any good looking games being developed at all, but not everybody cares about graphics like us artsy fartsy spriters.

So what IS the deal with the gun rather than a sword or bow?
I think the style is simple and likeable, but that it could be more appealing if we learned more about what's goin on with the character or the game.

Nothing more or less useless than imagining that there is more to be done. Recall: no matter what is new there will always be these hands and these sandwiches. The enlightenment came and went and sliced bread was our creation— the best to be had. There can be no avenues of intellectual discord. We will always fold our food and put it into our mouths, long after our bodies forget what to do with it.

Well, he's decided not to reveal too much. We're lucky to have screens, imo.

It's amazing how everything fits so well, same style, etc, I could never get that right when I do mockups.

But yeah the character blends a bit to the bg. I think you ought to mess with the saturation of the bg and lower it by, say, 20?

Not mad or anything, just making sure people remember.
Not a sword because how boring is that. And not a bow either because idiots are already comparing it to Kid Icarus even though the ONLY similarity is that they're both set in Greek/Roman times. And both are omg 2D.
Not revealing anything other than this mockup. I'm still perfecting it so its gonna be a while. Also I'm still fixing Atilus' colors, I'll post a few to see which looks best.

The background blends too much with the foreground. Try to make the foreground brighter than the background.
