Search is screwed(?)
#1
I typed in "shy guy" and no shy guys came up. When I know for a fact that there are some one there. All that came up was "leader of bad guys" or something like that. What's wrong with it?

Because of the way search works, I do get some results that aren't relevant but I still see shy guys in the results below:

http://www.spriters-resource.com/search/?q=shy+guy

Edit: Unless you're talking about tMR, in which case I'm seeing exactly what you described. Are you sure there are shy guy models on the site? If you know where they are, please link them so I can look I to why they're not coming up.

Hmm, some entries don't show up I'm noticing. The only one I noticed though is Flying Shy Guy from Yoshi's Story doesn't show up in a search for shy guy, shy or guy.

However, in most games with Shy Guys I feel like they are lumped into larger sheets of Enemies rather than sheets of their own.

Found one: Shy Guy Ghost

Shy Guy should be enough to get that.

Found another: Pirate Shy Guy
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

It could be because both words are 3 characters, which may be under the default minimum. I'll have to look through the configuration and see if there's some way to include 3 character words in the index.

And here's another one: http://www.models-resource.com/wii/mariosportsmix/ Although that one is only two words.

I did a quick check of the documentation and the minimum is indeed 4 characters but that can be overridden. I'll do that when I get home and that should fix this issue.

Fixed! I set the minimum word length to 3, rebuilt the indexes, and tried the search again. Here's the results for shy guy:

http://www.models-resource.com/search/?q=shy+guy

And as a bonus, here's the results for "shy guy" (notice the quotes):

http://www.models-resource.com/search/?q=%22shy+guy%22

That search box works in the same way that Google's does - you can double quote exact phrases, and use + and - to modify queries, among other things.

Great! This makes it much easier to find models and such. Three cheers for Petie! Cheer! Cheer! Cheer!
