wow! something not mario
the last 8 of these were a result of my sometimes-frequent-sometimes-not sprite stream! i plan on doing another set fairly soon (within the next week), so i guess check my tumblr if you want to know exactly when i'll be streaming
EDIT: i’m gonna schedule another sprite stream for tomorrow at 4:00 PM EST. i might start a bit earlier but i’ll definitely be working through 4 either way (i anticipate getting home at 3: 30 at the latest)
so tldr; tomorrow, my twitch page, 4:00 PM EST

It reminds me of the BS Satellaview Interface.
Go BS Mascot Guy and Chick!
Is this all still practice, or are these to be used somewhere too?

back at it again
/
i've started working on luigi again. the death animation has the hat and main sprite separated in case you'd want to let it fall on its own
a couple of stage designs- bit skies and pac-maze, respectively
and lastly, a new character select screen! the new design allows the player to see who they've unlocked, as well as allowing for as many characters as we'd like to add.
also, about wiggler- i've decided to keep it at the same size it is now for consistency's sake, as it's the same size as it was in mario world-

Excellent work on the expressionism. Really adds a lot of character to the sprites, and it gives me something to work towards with the sprites on my own games.

I actually am not 100% sure myself, since it's not my engine. lemme pull the code out of the water maker, though. you might be able to get something from that If I may ask, what engine were you using? I am kinda curious.

I am kinda curious. the engine i was using was an original engine for a canned game i was doing sprites for, mario's timeless picross. a similar engine would actually be catezeey's latest engine, as he made the engine i was using.
also, here's a mario 2 stage-

The most i can say on that new stage is that the bottom row of clouds could use some shading, with it blending into the sky. Other than that, it's great.
As well as your other stages .o. So goooooood
