XSB/XWB in Ultimax
#1
Hey guys, trying to come back with something I've been putting off for awhile, mostly because I don't even know where to start.

I've just decompressed some of the .pac files in the SE folder for the game, and each one has a .XSB and .XWB file in them.  The .XSB seems to be some kind of controller file or something; probably responsible for when the other file plays?  Either way, the .XWB file seems to be the actual sound files to be decompressed.  I've checked the header, and the header has DNBW in it?  Not sure what that is; googling didn't give me much.

Here are the files; I've included the XSB file too, just in case that may help:

The XSB files contain the compressed file names, and the XWB files are compressed bits of some sort of ADPCM I THINK. The XWB files can be uncompressed and can be grabbed here. It will out put *.wav's with a header of "RIFFP/x60" and a tag of 0x5249. If someone could help in looking up where the tag can be found so the data blocks can be swapped with this one, it would be useful. Thanks!

I've been researching after different articles, and the only thing I found was something about Octave:

Donno if that's useful, but that's all I've found so far about it.

I... wow, that's... way beyond me.

EDIT: Got some help elsewhere, and it seems to be working. I'll have files up soon.
