Ripping PSX models with a hex editor?
#1
So I recently found out that someone extracted the whole 1st level of Bubsy 3D with a hex editor.

I'm wondering how this is done, and would this lead to better and more accurate PSX model extraction than generally using programs like PSXprev?

I assume it's brutally difficult, though.
I like to make models in my free time. I also make weird games, too.

He/She replied in a comment to someone that asked "What program did you use to rip this? I kinda wanna try the program on Pac-Man World or Klonoa specifically." he replied "hex editor"

It's quite obvious as the title and most of the post reads.

But I was wondering how exactly with a hex editor? Do you open the files up with one?
