Recycling my garbage.

Looks fine so far. Make sure he bobs up and down as he walks.

the leg cycle looks good. Only, Mario is leaning way too much forward. Also, what OmegaKyogre said. His body and head needs to rise every time the foot align with the body.

Yea i have difficulty with arms this is what i did but its horrible
[Image: Walk1.gif]
I think ima just put his arm up kinda like he does in super mario world that would be easier.
In other news I made a Omega Bot and Underdog!!

Mario has a few problems:
Don't make him just move down a pixel when he bobs; it looks awkward and unrealistic. Instead, I'd go for a three pixel span at least: He'll be lowest when one of his feet is about to step, then he'll move up to the tallest point when his feet align with his body, then it'll move back down again when his foot is all the way behind him (his other foot will be about to take a step at this point as well), and the cycle goes on.
His hands needs to be animated more smoothly. Right not they jerk to the left, then to the middle, then to the right, then back to the middle, etc. etc. What you need to do is work to make them move consistently the entire time.

oh man, you and Subomi~Chan are pressing my nostalgia button~
You're very good at outlining, though there are some flaws. Patamon and Gabumon's left arm (our right) is jaggy, Palmon's head is too blocky, Agumon's arm looks way too much straight, and Graymon is alright, I guess.

now for coloring, your contrast needs more work. Your shades are hard to notice (see Palmon), increase contrast by hue-shifting (push the darker color more to the blue, it should work). I suggest you shading the outline too. It'll make your sprite look better.

Hmm, personally, I think you should make an easier project. You still haven't a good ammount of experience in coloring and the transformations/animations will be freaking hard (even for me :o). With easier projects, your spriting skill will become better and you'll make better sprites the next time you pick this project up.

I'll agree with Gorsal. I think you should continue to practice making still sprites look good before moving on to animations. Either that or go all animation (with pre-made sprites, stickfigures, what have you) and *then* move on to sprites themselves (like I did); but don't try to do both before you're reasonably skilled in one of them first.

You guys Got a point Ill work on improving my animation with the stick figures like omega said and i want to continue makeing digimon sprites though just 1 pose.

Meet Bob

hello, Bob! Yeah, you've got a good idea, now you'll practice animation and shading Smile

Only, make his limbs colored differently. Like... his right arm light green and his left arm dark green. Same with the legs, only with red, for example. With that, you'll know what limbs are away from us, making the animation process easier.

And try to make it without MS paint tools (and maybe smaller). It'll be a good practice, trust me! Oh, make his legs bigger. It's shorter than his arms right now!

Although it's not exactly what I meant, it sounds like excellent practice for animation. At this point you should focus on smooth transitions from one frame to another more than the aesthetics of the sprite itself.

OK Finish 1st animation I did a Side to Side standing pose
Here's Bob

Bob's Punch

Bob Jump

How are they??

Idle: Make his arms/hands bounce up and down as well as his body and legs.
Punch: Make him lean forward and extend his back leg so that he really puts all of his weight behind the punch.
Jump: Add more frames so its less choppy, and make his arms move rather than just hold stiff.

It's looking good so far.
