various rips
All in all, 4 heroes got ripped (Moses, Duchamp, Guy, Protagonist).
Usually I would switch to another game to get some variety, but I will definitely rip all 12 heroes since it's kinda easy to do them.

But at the moment I just need some rest, maybe a week or so.

New Milandra WIP:
I knew that a hero can be confused and then starts throwing items around, but I completely overlooked that they use a special set of sprites for it. So Moses, Duchamp and Guy are missing this set and I need to update them when I have the time.

Anyway, two days ago I finished Arabian Nights: Sabaku no Seirei Ou (SNES) and beat the true final boss with all sidequests finished. I have like 20 folders full of quicksaves and I really want to see what I can get from this new game. As you know, I need variety and this new set of missing sprites for the Milandra heroes really throws me off, because now I have to search for an enemy which confuses my heroes and also have them to throw an item while they're in this state so I can quicksave it and get the frames.

So I'll try out AN and occasionally come back to Milandra when I feel like it or I else it becomes too dull.

Thanks, but you need to delete the maps from Arabian Nights (SNES) for me.

It's one of these games were the colours are screwed, like two different whites or greens on one sprite or tile and you can't even see the difference with your naked eye. Milandra is completey ok, but Arabian Nights is screwed and can only be ripped through vSNES or bsnes+_rawcolours by RTB.

Kirby Super Star (SNES)
Reripped the sprite objects for Heart of Nova since I can't do anything about the backgrounds.
These are left on Gooniez' sheet, which is also cleaned up, but still low-quality.

Edit:
The ending for Milkyway Wishes is also done.

Edit 2:
Dyna Blade ending and Dyna Chicks got rerips.

Edit 3:
Time to give Marvelous a try, since Ton recommended it:

I also tried Tengai Makyou Zero: Far East of Eden Zero, but any emulator I used doesn't work, translated or not.

That's because it uses the SPC7110 chip being one of 3 games that uses it and also has a real time clock as well. A long time ago, a decompression pack was made for the graphics that may or may not help (the likes of Star Ocean and Street Fighter Alpha 2 in the past required graphics packs for the likes of ZSNES).

Anyway, you would have to run the test mode to initialize the RTC. When I first booted up BizHawk as a test, it came up RTC Time NG but with a few resets while pressing A and B, it managed to boot up the game. Trying RTB's version of bsnes-plus, first you press the A button and it runs the program check, it should come up ALL OK. Then reset the game and press the B button to get the RTC and SRAM backups to work, again should come up ALL OK. Reset again and the Hudson Soft logo should come up booting up the game.

My folder looks like this:
I extracted all contents from the ZIP files FEOEZSP7-P1 and FEOEZSP7-P2 and did all the tests.
Now when I start ZSNES, it still says that the decompressed pak hasn't been found.
I hear music, but the screen stays black, except some weird effect, red flashing and Japanese text.

Edit: bsnes-rawpalettes works, ZSNES is probably too old.

Since Tengai Makyou Zero and Marvelous don't really work with ZSNES and therefore also vSNES, I'm currently searching through other games.

So I found Princess Minerva with really nice anime art:

Portraits and one map are already done.

Edit:
Note to myself: Discard some equipment at the beginning of chapter 5 to make room for the fake dragon armor. Thing is, you get it automatically and all armor from your party is unequipped with the dragon armor being equipped. Now when you have too many different armor on your party members and it gets unequipped with your slots already being full... well, let's say the game doesn't take it lightly. In my case, the following fight froze and I had no idea how to fix it until now.

Anyway, now that I can play until the end, I will rip all bosses and all town interiors plus the only anime cutscene during regular gameplay (a bit sad compared to TurboGrafX-16).

A bummer about Marvelous. I really wanted to see that game get some more comprehensive rips.

Indeed, since vSNES can read it like an open book.

Not sure if I ever will use bsnes-rawpalettes by Random Talking Bush to continue. The sprite viewer is the same, but a bit more restricted which is why I'm not the biggest fan.
