Pilotwings (SNES) - lesson 8 (WIP)

Lesson 1-7 are already done, but this one has a lot of palette flashes and takes more time.

Not sure if I finish this one. Instructors and lessons are done, though.

This game wasn't even on my radar. Incredible. Do you think we should get rid of the old character profiles since yours are most versatile and complete?

I can't tell if the ingame versions are complete or not, but they're definitely useful in terms of being a reference for positioning the components.
Let's keep them around~

Edit:
If you ever wanted to know how big the character tilesets for Kid Clown & Blackjack are:

Kid Clown in Crazy Chase (SNES)

Not sure if these can be assembled. But if the tiles don't use duplicates and offsets, then I might be able to create a sheet.

Edit: Nope, too complicated. Screen rips or bust.

The helicopter from Pilotwings (SNES) is done.

As usual, I would ask myself what my next rip should be.
But this time, I'll take an extended break, since there are other things that need my attention and I really need to arrange my time accordingly.

Doing some npcs from Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled (DS)

Now that I know how the npcs behave, everything will be a lot easier for me.
Every npc has 9 unique frames (2 stance, 2 front, 2 back, 3 side), except special animations like the ones for the singers.

Tools are the oam viewer in desmume & animget to capture them.

I hear this is a great game ruined by a terrible and brutal encounter rate.

The worst encounter rate I've ever seen in my life. And I played a lot of RPGs.

Luckily, there are codes which deactivate random battles. I really hope that one day they'll re-release it with a patch included.

The other game I want to see ported is Rogue Galaxy (PS2), but the chances are slim.

Some stuff for Super Mario RPG, mainly special effects (Terrorize, Bowser Crush, Charging Special Attack (Bowser)).
I also revised the world map and added an ingame version.

I also finished the switch version just yesterday, great game.

Super Mario RPG - Overworld Water
16 frames, which are just palette changes and a wobbly effect with a gradient on top. Should be no problem with vSNES.

Sheet was created with SheetMaker. Screenshots were made with ZSNES.

Edit:
And the sheet is done.

Doing a lot of Mario RPG rerips and also some new stuff.

Useful code:
https://etherealgames.com/snes/s/super-m...nie-codes/
30. 1-Hit Kills Friends & Enemies
DDA5-5F0B

Particularly helpful against Smithy, activate after he attacked first and you win. If you do it before, you get a Game Over since he uses an AOE (area of effect) attack.
