various rips
Got Tengai Makyou Zero (JPN) to work with bsnes-rawpalettes:

Downloaded the translation v.7.0 from romhacking and applied it to the game.

First it looked like this:

Then I dumped the other contents of the translation patch into the game directory and remaned the game itself to Tengai Makyou Zero (English).
This way it matches the other files in name.

Then I tried again and after a few times after letting the game make its checks and pressing reset within the emulator, it worked.

Nice.

I'm also surprised by my own choices, but they're usually worth ripping.

There is also another game like Tengai Makyou Zero, it's called Bakumatsu Korinden ONI and also sets in a period similar to feudal Japan. Unfortunately, there is no English patch around for this one.

Anyway, the game has been submitted with two map sheets (Hisui's House, exterior / interior).

Ripped 17 sheets for Marvelous: Another Treasure Island (SNES).

Mostly maps, simply because bsnes-rawpalettes can show everything layered without the need to puzzle them together.
Therefore I was pretty quick with them, I didn't play the game or looked up any guides, just walked all over the place and grabbed every map available.
Sheet names are completely made up, btw.

I just ripped everything I could get my hands on by using a walk thru walls code:

This is it for this game.

Kirby stages are rippable now.
Submitted Mallow Castle 1 as a test rip, complete with animated background.
Not doing more of this, though.

Tool:
https://github.com/devinacker/bsnes-plus (base)
https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-41182...#pid675404 (rawpalettes-addon)

Both of these form bsnes-rawpalettes, which lets you rip with true colours instead of the slightly brighter bsnes-plus stuff.

I think I'll do a tutorial in some time.

Edit:
Ah, RTB already ripped some maps with this method. I knew the bg was kinda familiar.
I somehow have the feeling that the 8 top pixels of my map are missing, though.

Edit 2:
Nah, I cancelled this one. The background was missing something in tile map viewer and the foreground has missing stuff too.
Not sure what causes this. Maybe RTB replaced the missing stuff with stuff from the tile viewer?

Usually I do test rips to see how game x or y behaves.
While this looks pretty easy, I don't like that the game is missing stuff within the viewer.

This is what I wanted to submit (before I cancelled it), but the top of the foreground is cut off:
Pretty sure the far right is wrongly assembled too, but since the sheet is cancelled, I never fixed it.

Also the background originally had a hole in it:
I stuffed the hole with tiles from RTB, since he ripped the same bg.
But since these backgrounds get reused, it's kinda useless to include them on the sheet.

I would have continued, but the viewer makes too many problem with this game specifically.
It's not worth investing time in a game to learn how it behaves in the viewer if there's so many problems to begin with.

As a Tales nerd, my vote is for Phantasia, but also Breath of Fire II needs some love.

BOF 2 definitely needs love. So does Terranigma. Those would be awesome.
My inner fanboy says FF6, though.

Decided to go for Secret of Evermore, one of my fav games of all time.
Only Antiqua, though. I just want to see if I can complete an entire section of the game.

For the games mentioned, here is what I think about their current status on the site:

Breath of Fire 2 (never played it)
PCs: Everybody is here?
NPCs: Almost all of them are missing
Enemies: Looks complete? idk
Bosses: Same as enemies
Maps: A few are on the site, rest is missing
Battle BGs: Pretty sure these sheets are missing some of them
https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/breathfire2/

Final Fantasy 6 (never played this one too)
PCs: Looks good to me
NPCs: Same as PCs
Enemies: Need palettes, because of the imp effect / Otherwise complete?
Bosses: Looking good
Maps: A lot got done, a few maps are cut off (mountains), but I'm not sure how much is missing here
Battle BGs: Complete, I guess
https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/ff6/

Tales of Phantasia (played halfway until I lost my save)
PCs: Only Cless is here, so the rest of the cast is missing (Arche, Suzu, Klarth, Chester)
NPCs: Every monster / human npc is missing
Enemies: Could be complete
Bosses: Same as enemies
Maps: Stuff on the site is mostly cut off, vast majority of the maps is missing
Battle BGs: Halfway done.
https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/talephantasia/

Terranigma (played through several times)
PCs: Same as Evermore, some SFX / weapons can be separated with vSNES / bsnes-rawpalettes
NPCs: Some tidbits like the lamp from the tiles for Beruga's followers are missing / additional tile rips for unused stuff
Enemies: Most of them are missing, existing ones mostly need their tiles
Bosses: Hitoderon, Shadow Keeper & Dark Gaia need tiles, Security Robot & Dark Twins are missing
Maps: A good chunk is here, but again, the vast majority is missing
Battle BGs: ARPG; don't exist
https://www.spriters-resource.com/snes/terranigma/

Terranigma, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean and Treasure Hunter G are currently the rpgs I would try out next (if nothing else pops up).
Btw if anyone wants to see layered maps or tileset animations from other rpgs, no matter which one, just post a bsnes quicksave with the exact location and I'll get to it.

I feel like there are enemies missing from BoF2, but I can't say for sure, since the person that ripped them paired up all the color variants. I believe the bosses are complete (at least all the bosses I remember are there). And there are definitely a bunch of battle backgrounds missing.

I checked all of them with the wiki (CTRL+F, then typing the name jumps to corresponding enemy):
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Brea...II_Enemies

Three enemies are missing:
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/P.Dragon
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/Shupri
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/Zodiac

Two bosses are missing:
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/Bouncer_(Breath_of_Fire_II)
https://bof.fandom.com/wiki/Chiroru

Some enemies on the site also had typos, missing names for palette swaps etc. I submitted some revisions to fix that.
Although I left the space between enemy names like A. Sludge or B. Ogre, which doesn't exist within the game.
Smithy named them like this and they're everywhere, it's too much of a hassle to submit revisions for every single one of them.

Those two bosses are there. Chiroru is part of the Villager set, and Bouncer is under the US translated name Dir. HR.
