Looks perfect to me.
Anyways, does anyone think Ness might look better with a nose? At least 1 pixel in size?
I dunno, with it, the face just seems more complete. And Ness does have a nose in his games, and in the smash bros. series.
He didn't have a nose in Earthbound...

I love the new bat swinging.
Er... I guess he does in the side views. He looks way cuter without the nose though.

I honestly prefer the noseless version. I'm not sure many people are going to notice one missing pixel while they're playing the game, anyhow.

I think the old one had better leg movement, but this is an improvement nonetheless!

PK Fire! Awesome job, I think he should be a little more hunched over!

The 2 people that should really be a moderator of the Smash Bros. Project Board are Solink and NinspriterX.
I think he should freeze for a sec after pointing, but that's an animation detail, not a spriting one. Great, great job.

Solink,a your animations-- while great-- are too stiff between transitions. They just kinda abruptly start and abruptly end-- especially the bat animation. There's no power going through it, only motion. Especially in a game like Smash, you want your animations to have power.
Also, the bat should go out more, and his legs should go out a little more. I've got some free time right now but I can't guarantee a fix.
One hour later;

Even the slightest change in pixel position with an existing frame will make a huge difference. I'd suggest downloading my version and researching what I did with my frames, I really think it'll help all of your future animations.
edit: just realized I called you "Sploder" the entire time. Wow, I must have been tired.
