Ok, the costumes won't be a simple skin swap, obviously. We'll have to essentially make a whole new character for costumes. Here is where we decide those costumes. Keep in mind, this should be only a visual change to the character, not a retooling. For instance, Yoshi's costume cannot be Birdo. In fact, a costume cannot transform the character into another character at all.

And for Zero Suit Samus, it should be that swimsuit but with the no Varia upgrade colors but keeping her hair blond (green hair doesn't really work for her).

Gooey - O2 Costume (If you don't know who O2 is check Kirby 64's Final Boss
Kirby - Shadow Kirby from (Amazing Mirror) or Dark Matter (Kirby 64)
Jigglypuff - I dunno you could give her the microphone from the anime.
Gameboy - Gameboy Color maybe the blue,lime green or tranparent purple could do.
Peach - Maybe she can have her Mario Sunshine outfit like Tonberry said or maybe her strikers outfit.

Brawl1207 these aren't just alternate colors these are alternate costume. Meaning a complete set of new colors for each costume. Basically you can have two RED Mario's one regular Red and one Doctor Red. Same with Mr. L and the rest. It has to be distinctive enough so that someone can choose the same color and still tell each other a part.

If its one additional accessory added to the character (like a mask or bow) you'll need to change their regular colors as well. Meaning "Red Dedede" and "Red Masked Dedede" will need to have a different sort of red from each other.

Kirby you must be careful with as he wears different hats throughout the game, however I have solution. I'd like to give him the Beam Kirby hat as an alt but it would go away when he copies someone. Well the solution is simple, don't just give him the hat, give him a new set of colors as well. That way when the Beam hat disappears under the copied power he still will be different looking through color.

I'm not suggesting these crappy colors I'm just making an example. You see even though Kirby has a hat on, his colors are not like that of his regular costume. See his green should be different from his normal green.
