Really? It differentiates him from Bowser and has kind of a jungle palette to it.

Yeah, I kind of agree with Alpha... It's a tad dark, but like you said, we can't make it too bright without essentially turning the palatte into Bowser's.

That's not to say I don't think it's a wonderful sprite, because it is! Absolutely loving it so far!

I've only played the Donkey Kong Country games and I thought that was a -pfft- set-in-gold trademark along with his eye.

I think his his yellow belly is a bit too wide. Maybe make it more round.

Technically, if we're going with King K. Rool design-wise, the gold-plated chest is a staple of King K. Rool.
