That looks a bit better. Try adding shading underneath the lip, so it looks like it's hanging over the side of the kart a little bit. And adjust the shading on the yellow part so it's not as centered by making the shading heavier on the left side.

I think you could go ahead and try putting the exclamation point on there now.

Yeah, it's too squished. Try making the kart taller so the exclamation point will fit in there better.

I think it would look even better if the exclamation point wasn't bloated at the top, and if the shading was substantially darker around it than it is now.

A little, but the exclamation point's shading still isn't dark enough. Notice in the picture how it's like a brownish color? Try sampling colors from the exclamation points shading in the picture to see if you can find one that'll fit the sprite well.

You should also add the yellow parts on the front and back, like in the picture.
