Well, I'm running into a lot of Firsts in my current HeartGold playthrough. I finally caught my very first legit Shiny pokemon ("legit" meaning NOT the gimme-Gyrados; it was a Metapod) and now for the first time my Pokemon team is infected with Pokerus. It's a pity that the latter is wasted on me, though, because I don't ever pay attention to stuff like EVs.

Super Mario 64.
Reliving my childhood.
Had an awesome time playing Hearthstone with a bunch of other students at an event by the university's engineering club. I'll post details in the happy thread tomorrow (as well as about the rest of my week), but basically it was just a really fun and cool experience. Looking forward to future game days

Since I'm waiting for MH4 to come back in stock, I'm playing MH3U online.
Still fun as hell.

Getting pretty close to the 90 hour mark on MH4U now. Hit a bit of a slog when there was no new armour to aim for but now, it's time to farm some Akantor for that sweet sweet Expert and Sharpness+1 goodness.

I started replaying Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door recently not only for leisure, but also for research on the game's art style. The game certainly takes it time if you're attempting to go for a lot of the goodies earlier than any normal player would. Heck, when I started investing my time in attempting the Pit of 100 Trials, I haven't even took out Hooktail yet! Still, it is rewarding to get a head start on some of the more complicated sidequests.

I actually was looking forward to getting her in this playthrough ever since I realized how invaluable her Lip Lock ability is. Once I get the Emerald Star and complete a few other sidequests, I'll try my luck past level 30.
Also, anyone ever level up Goombella first? Thanks to her and a Power Punch, I took out Hooktail with great ease.

I'm playing Metroid: Zero Mission on the Wii U and oh my God is it noticeable how awful the controlstick is, especially when facing fucking Mother Brain. Too often it registers the stick bouncing up when I tap it down or right when tapping left and you do NOT want to shoot missiles away from Mother Brain while standing up.
EDIT:
The Brain is dead. Beaten Mecha Ridley too. Though tricky, everything after Mother Brain is a breeze compared to Mother Brain. Except maybe getting every item, which is going to be a Shinespark hell.

It does, but it feels awkward using it due to its position. My thumb is just way more comfortable on the stick and I have a hard time getting used to using the D-pad to move.
It looks like the control-stick issue goes for every controller with a control-stick, since I had the same with my Pikachu Hori GC Classic Controller. It's probably just the software being way too sensitive. It should have a little threshold so it doesn't register the stick bouncing back. Not expecting Nintendo to fix this though, but would be nice.
I can't wait to cut the air behind me in Megaman Zero 2!

whoa check out that massive namedrop
I just got one of these literally yesterday for my girlfriend, and haven't unboxed it yet. If the Luigi controller's anything to go by, it's gonna feel amazing but kind of light compared to the original GC controller (probably because the rumble-weights aren't in the grips of the controller)
Did these actually come out earlier in Europe or something?
(also, I feel like with the Bowser and Toad Wiimotes in Japan, a Bowser controller's gonna be inevitable...so like, I might as well sell my Luigi one once they announce it, lol)

I guess. I have this thing for a week or two now, not sure when I ordered it. I have the Luigi one too by the way.
Related to topic: I'm taking a break from the VC games and started playing some Carmageddon 2. This game is as fucking amazing as I remember it over a decade ago. It only pains me more that Reincarnated runs horribly on almost every PC in the world, since it looks and feels like a true sequel to C2. Played C1 and CTDR too, since they're all bundled. C1 didn't age as well as C2 and CTDR is as terrible as Stainless claims.
