crappy is a fast character with a frail body and slightly-less-frail ego. he attacks with a variety of eccentric moves designed to play keep-away or protect himself.

-crappy slings some water in front of him with whichever hand is closer to the camera
jump punch 2 - pie dunk
-crappy uses his other hand to slam a pie (from nowhere) down in front of him
jump punch 3 - balloon bounce

-crappy drops straight downward while on top of a balloon
kick - island courage
-crappy pitches a yo-yo in front of him
kick f - spin attack
-crappy does a forward jumping somersault. if he makes contact with the opponent, he bounces off of them. press kick again during this move to use the insta-shield
kick b - spring clean
-crappy sweeps the ground with a broom
duck kick - super jump
-crappy squats and faces the camera while charging up for half a second before launching straight up into the air, knocking the opponent upwards for potential air combos
jump kick 1 - top spin
-crappy spins in place with his arms and legs outstretched
jump kick 2 - mr. explorer
-crappy proudly holds up an ankh jewel while inadvertently kicking in front of him
defend (all situations) - ice wall
-crappy spawns a barrier of ice in front of him
special 1 - semi-soaker -GROUND-
(input: down, down-forward, forward, punch--with optional repeated punch)
-crappy shoots tiny, fast-traveling water bullets ahead of him, doing chip damage that doesn't stun the target but pushes them back a couple pixels with each hit
special 2 - snake -AIR-
(input: down, down-back, back, punch)
-crappy turns into a series of three orbs before dashing forward and returning to normal
special 3 - abise-geri -GROUND-
(input: down, down-back, back, kick)
-crappy disappears for a split second before appearing behind the opponent and dashing back to his initial position, passing through them if he makes contact
special 4 - corkscrew kick -AIR-
(input: back, forward, back, kick)
-crappy dives forward and down feet-first while spinning at rapid speeds
gognio special - refreshing pause
-crappy chugs a bottle of water to regain ~half of his health

I noticed on the last frame of his punch 2, Crappy kind of hops up a bit, which looks kind of odd in the animation.
i agree that it looks off, but i'm not sure how i can fix it without adding another frame to the animation. i want him to hop back to his idle because it makes him look speedy and quick on his feet.
i fixed up the issue with my second punch:
it's not much of an update, but i'm going to be out of town for more than a week, and i felt like getting at least something done before i left. the first post has been updated accordingly, and i've also updated the planned move list.

i've also updated the move list again. it's got a new kick, as well as a kick 2, which was the old < kick. the old kick is now the new < kick. really simple stuff. there's also a gognio because i wanted to be the first to have a healing gognio. (unless someone else already did that then oh well)

(the thrown yo-yo is a separate effect from the base animation, so the animation is only three frames--check the sheet in the first post)

lastly, i updated the island courage move in the first post. initially, i used an afterimage style for the yo-yo that was borrowed from kirby super star, but i changed it to look like the yo-yo's afterimages in kirby super star ultra. i think it looks a lot neater!

That's far better! The buttons look a bit off-centre but the overall impression is very much Spider-Man.
PS: hoping for some jump punch2 and jump kick2 action instead of normal punch2 and kick2, and looking forward to that air special (plan another one pls!!)!!!

Instead of having a ground-based punch1&2 and a jump punch, you could switch it and have a ground-based punch, but jump punch1&2. I thought it'd be neat if CBL were more of an aerial attacker, but it's up to you.

hm, i can think about it! i'm not going to drop the second ground punch; that specific combo is like a staple of crappy's character.
but having more air moves could mean more references to stuff...
i'll get back to you on this.
