I'm trying to get through Blaster Master Zero again, this time on Destroyer (Hard) Mode. Man... that game is bloody hard now, if you deal that low damage. The the bosses are actually not dying in like 3 seconds. The "one weakness" thing makes it a whole lot harder.
The second real boss was a real pain to beat ( Crabulus, the claw crab guy who rotates). His RNG pattern and weakness to the shield weapon was a big problem to me . He just didn't want to use the shooting attack. Instand, he always rotated and spit his acid all around multiple times, so I had to go always behind him when he did that. I learned every attack of this boss and still only can asume his attack pattern is completely RNG.
Besides the Crabulus fight (guh! ), ...
...I'm enjoying this new and free addition to the game. It makes the game challenging so that you have to be on your toes most of the time .

Personally the sheer amount of charm in Shake Dimension has always made it my favourite, but yes VB Wario Land is damn good.
Mario Clash is... ok. I mean it gets better once you sink some time into it and the levels get more creative, but at the time, man it would be a massive disappointment I would imagine.
As for Blaster Master Zero - remember to use all your weapons smartly, you can pretty much always be hitting the boss in some way and take them down quickly.
Fire Emblem Echoes. Taking a break from level grinding in Heroes.

So I have a question ...
I finally got around to playing EarthBound (blind playthrough) and just recently completed it. I really enjoyed it, and at the time I thought that its only real major flaw was that it didn't really explain who or what Giygas was, beyond just a general evil entity. So I ended up looking up his bio to learn that, okay, the reason they didn't go into details was because his backstory was explained in Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings.
Now I really want to play Mother 3, because I really want to know where the Porky cliffhanger is headed. So my question is, should I go back and play EarthBound Beginnings first? I mean I already ended up looking up Giygas' bio and learning his whole deal; is there any other information that the first game offers that makes playing it worth it? Or should I just go ahead and move on to Mother 3. I ask because I had heard that EarthBound Beginnings is kind of a generic RPG compared to the others.

first impressions of skullgirls:
1. the JP voices are hilarious
2. the boss fight is pretty BS, don't even bother
3. squigly is bae, also filia is p cute too. so is peacock
4. making combos gets a lot easier with practice. don't jump into online multiplayer without training a bit first.

Beginnings didn't age as well as EarthBound. While I fell in love with EarthBound and beat Giygas (save states helped, because old RPGs tend to get slow and tedious sometimes), I gave up at the Zoo in Beginnings. This could just be me, but Beginnings is rough.
To my knowledge, other than Giygas and his alien invasion, there's not much else that ties EarthBound and Beginnings together.
So yeah, I don't think you'll miss out on much by skipping to Mother 3. I have yet to play Mother 3 myself, I'm waiting for the game to get the same treatment as Beginnings, but if I were in your position, I'd definitely play Mother 3.

Right now im playing Shantae and The Pirate's Curse. I've heard good reviews about it and the pixel art is just fantastic and I'm a sucker for a game with good sprite work. I've gotten a bit into the game and so far so good. The only thing I dislike about it is how the vivid and animated pixel art clashes with the motionless vector art in the menu/pause screens and key items. It's not a deal breaker nor does it take away from the game imo, but I felt like they really didnt care about having a consistent art style in this sense. Momodora (the latest game which I have started and love as of now) has the consistency all throughout the game's asset and it looks amazing. Idk it just feels jarring to be looking at such well made sprites only to pause the game and go "ACK! What happened here?"
Also I totally haven't been playing Breath of The Wild and loving every bit of it...

Man Momodora is so damn good...
With Shantae, yeah, it's a bit odd. Not enough to hurt the game but definitely an oversight.
When did EarthBound Zero start to be known as beginnings?

When they officially released it in Virtual Console that is what they named it.

So I just finished unlocking all the characters in Puyo Puyo Tetris. I liked the game, but good god do those voices get annoying in Big Bang mode.
Bought dual destinies for my cellphone, I'm so hyped to finally play it

Reinstalled Hearthstone to see if the OTK decks are less rampant. Encountered 4 in a row. Uninstalled Hearthstone. Installed Gwent. Going to try it out tomorrow.

Quest Rogue isn't going away any time soon unfortunately, Antonidas Mage also seems like it's sticking around. Honestly, in ranked I either play something like Murloc Paladin or Hemet Mage (they're OP enough to be viable but are still fun and somewhat skilful), or I play Arena.

Finished Yoshi's Island (still probably the best final boss ever made... except maybe Mother 3).
Playing through Puyo Puyo Tetris. I suck at Tetris so the match against Oil Man/Chao/his actual name is going, well, it isn't going well..
Also been playing Frogs and Flies a lot on the Atari 2600 - probably the best 2 player Vs game ever made.
