Legend Of Mana: Assembled Bosses/Monsters Sprites

Have you tried looking through save states to get the individual palettes? The palettes therein show the palettes of the sprites loaded in the vram at that moment. If you've already tried this, just ignore me. (whistles)

Thanks! I modified my script to output the parts separately when assembling, and write a palette image script. So here you go:

By looking at the parts image, I saw some parts were not used. And then realize Axe Armor has a close range swing attack that went missing! Where do it go???

I put up all my scripts on GitHub here, in case Raccoon Sam want to take a look:

(any scripts starts with '__' are unfinished/in-development/testing)

All right, unless you find that close range attack, this is the sheet's final form!

Made a few gifs with the animations using the frame rate in the anim read me as a guide. I ended up with something pretty exact to how the character moves.

While Castlevania NDS is currently on hold, Xenogears sprites is near completion. I'm replaying the game now to check/debug for certain sprite.

Here is how Citan battle sprites currently looks like:

.zip   xeno_citan_dev.zip (Size: 413.12 KB / Downloads: 174)

I'll make a new thread once I'm done.

HOLY SH****!
You are freaking awesoooome!
I highly doubt about if you could rip those, since there is no clear data on the ISO file..
but you DID IT.

I f*cking love you brother, this means a lot, finally we can have the Xenogears sprites.

You are a genius buddy.

Banshee. Just need parts and palette. The only problem with the parts sheet on TSR is that the colors are wrong on some pieces.

Oh, so you are making spritesheet from my example? That's mainly just for show, as some palette is still wrong. OOE may give you a pointer to a palette set, but it seems only the first palette from the set is right.

Here is the whole thing. Beware of the lizardman.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/wmfim86ui5...ev.7z/file
(note: you can open index.html to see all sprites at once instead of opening them one-by-one)

In the end, OOE still has palette problem like DOS and POR. But still, if you can verify the sprites are correct, you can just go ahead and make a spritesheet.

Interesting. Yeah, there are a lot that have correct palettes and there are some which I can just recolor, but, alas, there are many that are way off. Unfortunately, a lot of the latter folders are empty of sprites, so I can't see the rest of them. It is a WIP after all, so I shouldn't be disappointed.

What does disappoint me is that the files didn't show each rotation piece for the bigger monsters. That's not your fault, it's just an observation.

I dunno if I'm just not being very observant and missing it entirely, I was looking for a sheet of the Mana Goddess boss. I want to use the sprites as a drawing/modeling reference. Has she been done and I'm just not seeing it?

Incredible work, people have been poking at LoM for decades and you managed to solve the puzzle.

If you ever run out of projects and want something with sprites made up of pieces, look at Princess Crown, I tried ripping it using the PSP version and replacing textures, but characters are so big on screen big ones like dragons are never whole on screen and even small ones are cropped when they they jump.

This one uses a lot of sprite distortion so putting stuff together might be rather hard lol.
