Glad you like it, this was Square-Enix' last game on the SNES and it really shows. Graphics and mapping are top notch.

Again, everything is WIP and cut off at bottom & top.
I will put them on a 16x16 pixels grid within my graphics program and complete them with existing tiles from the map.

I'm done with Riza's & Sion's scenario and made quicksaves all over the place. Next is Surlent and oh boy, this game is tough as nails. Maybe there is an easier way to beat the final bosses, but I didn't use guides except when I have no idea where to go.

Played through the entire game. Characters & plot are flat as pancakes, but background story, graphics and music are amazing.
I used patch 2.1 by Aeon Genesis, this one needs an emulator who actually supports the font properly and ZSNES is clearly not doing that (readable, but it looks kinda ugly). bsnes-rawpalettes by RTB plays it just fine (although it doubles internal resolution whenever the font is shown, but you will only notice that on screencaps).

Anyway, Thor Volcano and Vairocana Ruins are done and submitted.

Edit: And the first interior map is done too, Verdandi Temple (Mitra's Room). One of the best maps in the game, imo. Ryan914 already ripped it, but I wanted to have it with all its layers.

Next are Roma, Len and the Hidden Village, since they all share the same tileset.
Roma and Len also have a 2nd variant due to being damaged after the fall of the Sky Islands.

Okay, the forests will be my last set of exterior maps. After that, I will tackle the interiors of castles and ruins.

Not sure what to do with the transparency effect for the leaf canopy, the map is cut off and I can't use other tiles to make up for it. Maybe I just rip the layers and nothing else? Or provide the cut off ingame map too? I really don't know.

Edit: Nah, I have to think about that a bit more. For now, I'll do interiors and leave the forests out.

Trying to find an approach to these maps.

I need to check the stairs in vSNES, not sure if they actually have these holes and just use the bg colour for this.
For the rest: Maybe it's better to assemble the layers first on a pink background before I erase the bg colour with "paste transparent selection".
