The majority of WIPs from the previous post is now on the site, finished of course.
I also didn't realize how easy it is to rip the exterior towns, it's way faster than doing the inside areas.

Question is, how far will I go with this game? I already did 69 rips for it and there is still so much left.
At least one NPC sheet should be on the site, also some sprite animations like the Gold Mine elevator, the Golden Tower door for the 2nd boss and the fire stuff for the Hermit Grotto & Flame Shrine.
Really not sure about the rest, though.

Ice Mountain Village (Yumedono, the Palace of Dreams)

The egg has different sizes and appears on both maps.

Also not updating the main post, my ripping speed is way too fast to keep track of.
Currently closing in to 100 sheets for this game.

I think it's slowly time to wrap this one up. One NPC sheet is coming, also the rest of the bosses, but no more enemies, etc.

One part of the Mahamayuri is on the sprite layer, probably due to VRAM issues. I also noticed that one part for the top right orb pillar got overwritten within the tile map viewer.
This usually happens with edge rows and corner tiles, but is easily fixable by moving a bit in their direction to reload the correct tiles.
The 10 frame flame is on a custom grid, need to align that later.

npc sheet wip
nearly done, a few poses are missing:
- mirror village: old man, mirror event on even days
- firepoint village: maybe fire shrine (old man, etc.)? / edit: no extra poses
- fireshadow village: frozen npcs
- djinn's waterfall: surprised miko when the ma-djinn comes out / edit: no extra poses, only a shadow / sfx
- takamaghara: unconcious npcs when monsters attack
- valley of stone: sitting buddhist guy
- royal dragon castle: old guy in jail

This sheet won't have the tea house girls, geishas, people from minigames, bakuzan, tortoise castle princess, monsters, animals and others.
It's alrady big enough and I have to stop somewhere.

Edit: All NPCs you see here don't have recolours. Only the old fortune teller lady from Big Tiger Town got colour-swapped to appear as the Takamagahara grandmas.^
Edit2: Palettes:
- regular npc palettes
- frozen npc palette / edit: no extra palette was used
- tree npc (overgrown blue lake village) / edit: no extra palettes here either

NPC sheet 1 is done, this is the rest:

Maybe I'll finish it without the pets, the animals are mostly complete and the there are not many other humans left.

The cavern has an alternative look when you encounter the secret boss.

I also have Royal Dragon Castle nearly done, which isn't too hard.
Could also do Life Forest in a jiffy, so you can expect more map sheets.

Whoa, that Crab-Crab dungeon looks like the FF4 Moon tileset.

I assume we don't have that on the site?

Anyway, here are backgrounds / objects from the intro:

Surprisingly, the fog seems to be done in SNES hardware since I can't see it on any layer in the tilemap viewer.

Crane Fountain, as usual a WIP
[Image: l3ssRUl.png]

Grid isn't correct, bg colour needs to be changed and I need to erase the ground for the sprite layer example (Recolour 1.6).

NPCs are done, at least so far. The festivals have more of them and the pet monsters are also not on the site.
Btw, Riho in the crane tea house isn't there when I invite Momoko. No idea how the guide triggered her to appear, but I strongly assume that she doesn't have an unique appearace.

Playable characters, enemies, battle backgrounds, more maps... there is no end to this game.

I did 153 sheets for this game so far and at one point I just have to stop.

Since the bosses are also done (except Manto), I will now concentrate my energy on sprite objects and their animations.

The light layer recreation is surprisingly faithful to what the devs uses (although it's a tiny bit darker).

Still misses the door animation and the interior for the smaller house.

Edit: And some characters:
